Courtney wanted her favorite flowers in her hands on the day, nothing borrowed from a trend or a moodboard. We talked about what those flowers meant to her before we talked about how they'd look.

The one thing every ceremony happens under.
Sometimes the whole ceremony comes down to one structure. The moment two people are married usually happens under something. I wanted that something to matter.
The arch had to hold its own line first, an asymmetric frame built from wood, taller on one side than the other. I let the greenery follow that shape rather than soften it, eucalyptus tracing the angles, white roses and blush gerberas gathered where the wood bent. Behind it, the orangerie's glass wall opened straight onto the garden, so the flowers on the arch and the trees outside were almost having the same conversation.
Everything else that day happened around it. This is where it started.
