THE STORY
Dahlias were Kelly’s flower before anything else was. She grew up in the States, in a garden where they came back every autumn, and she knew the colours before she knew their name.When she and Stephan began planning their wedding, they visited a few venues before Slot Moermond. Once they found it, the castle was the place, and the dahlias were where the flowers had to start.
THE TRANSLATION
The flowers Kelly grew up with became the starting point for her wedding bouquet.
Orange dahlias, warm yellows, pinks and unexpected touches of blue brought the colours of an autumn garden into her wedding day. Rather than recreate the garden itself, I worked with its colours, textures and character to create a bouquet that felt like Kelly.

I was actually stunned when I walked into the room on the day of our weddingWe had the privilege of having Manuela do the flowers for our wedding. My bouquet, the reception flowers, the ceremony flowers, the dinner flowers. She sat with me to discuss design ideas and help me put my thoughts into a solid plan. She is creative and excellent at making a vision come to life. She took the props I gave her to work with and made it much more beautiful then I had imagined!
